What I’ve Been Reading Lately

What I’ve Been Reading Lately

I always love linking up every month with Anne’s What I’ve Been Reading Lately posts. For the past couple of months, I’ve been off my reading game, only able to finish one maybe two books a month. This month I feel like I’m back in the groove of things having read five (now, if I can only remember to update my… Read More

May Book Report

I finally have more than two books read in a month. HA! May was a little better, but June I think I finally get back on track. What I read in May: Wolf by Wolf | Ryan Graudin: I seriously want to gush over this book. It’s an alternative history story (which I’m really loving) Germany has won WWII and… Read More

I’m really glad I didn’t. To be honest, this person wasn’t wrong. At the time I wasn’t very good at writing. It was early on in my career. Hearing that I should give up was a punch to my gut and I had two choices.

I could listen, and not write ever again.

OR

I could buckle down and get better.

I chose to get better. I still don’t think I’ve “arrived” but I am a lot better than I was then.

So this is me telling you — don’t ever stop dreaming, don’t ever stop learning, and don’t take bad advice.

You got this. I’m cheering for you.
