My baby girl loves crafts. In fact, the one thing she wanted to do this summer being out of school—crafts and sewing (which she doesn’t know how to do yet, but it’s on the list). A few weeks ago, BookOutlet.com‘s 50 for 50 deal was on craft books. After scrolling through the titles, I ended up buying a few for ideas for us over the summer (because sometimes you need more than Pinterest. Also, I don’t always want to have to look stuff up online because I get sidetracked way too much).
Paper Goods Projects: I got this one because most of the projects use items that I can easily grab in my kitchen—cupcake liners, coffee filters, milk cartons. Most of the projects in this book are simple enough that Els can look at the pictures and figure out the instructions.
Craft-a-Doodle: Confession. I bought this one mainly for me. I’ve been crushing on the a-Doddle books on Amazon and the local book store and when this one came up for under $5, I had to snag it. I love the suggestions for doodles all throughout (Els loves any of the doodles that involve cats or animals). I’m wanting to get her a small inexpensive sketch book to put all her doodles in.
The Paper Playhouse: I bought this one solely for the awesome box doll house that is on the front on the book. And it does give you templates and step by step instructions on making your own box doll house.
