Products to Love: Essie Good to Go

Products to Love: Essie Good to Go

I have always loved the idea of a great home manicure. However, I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my nails. Every inch has to be painted and heaven forbid I ever get it off my nail and onto my finger. And then there’s the smudging. A good smudge messes up the whole dang thing. Essie polish… Read More

Drew Month One

(photo via the sister) – You smile all the time. I love your smile – You nurse like a champ! Every two hours, which sometimes wears this  momma out (especially during the night), but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. – You gained a whole pound and a handful of ounces at your two week check up. – You don’t… Read More

Gone are the days of only a baby shower for your first baby. My church was kind enough to throw me a shower for my second and earlier this year they threw a shower of a mom due with her fourth! This brings up the question — what does one register for for the second (or third or fourth) kid… Read More

Our School Plan

Our School Plan

Most people think I’m insanely crazy for wanting to start school with E this year. I’m a nerd. I love school. I love learning. So how could I not start “school”? I’m using the term “school” loosely here. We are not going to be going through books or have a hard schedule. We’ll most likely be doing school once maybe… Read More

The Margins Writing Challenge May is such a busy The Margins Writing Challenge

May is such a busy month! But we don’t want to let our writing suffer. This is not a word count goal or a “time spent” goal this is just a challenge to fit writing in little pockets of time — 3 minutes while you’re waiting for water to boil, 10 minutes while you’re in the last of the school pick up lines, 5 minutes while you’re waiting to check out at the store.

These little pockets of time, stolen to write, will help the words stack up. I hope you’ll join us this month!

What: the Margins Writing Challenge
When: May 1 - 31
Rule: write in the margins of your day and watch the words add up!
RSVP: kidding there’s no RSVP — but we’d love to know if you’re joining so we can cheer you on! Let us know in the comments below!
