While the plan was to basically be hermits all weekend and do nothing but craft, eat, and watch Downton Abbey, that didn’t exactly happen. We crammed a lot into the weekend (which we’re good at. Actually doing what we plan? Not so much).
As soon as Anna got here, we decided to get out of the house and get food (ok… maybe that was my plan. E was driving me crazy. I. HAD. TO. GET. OUT.) We needed food anyways… And a crafting project. Some how we ended up not finding a craft project at Target, needing Wal-Mart with two crazy crabby “I need a nap like 3 hours ago” kids. So Mom to the rescue! After dropping off both babies, we headed to Savers and Hancocks and then Wal-Mart.
We headed back to mom’s house and ate a crazy good bowl of soup (mom’s the expert!) and finally started back home around 9:30. After getting home, getting both babies dressed for bed, started on our craft project, stuff our faces full of cookies and coconut M & Ms we started Downton Abbey (at 11:30 PM). Realizing that we didn’t have the exact thing we needed for our project, we waiting for Andy to come home so we could run to Wal-Mart and get needed supply (it’s not a sleep over with out a midnight run to Wal-Mart right?)
We got the craft done, finally, and got 1 1/2 episodes in before I fell asleep on the couch… I’m terribly old (it was like 2).
Saturday we watch episode after episode of DA until it was time to go to a baby shower and then on the way home we decided pizza sounded really good and stopped for a slice (or two or three).
We did get our Shepard’s Pie made… Right before Anna HAD to leave at 9PM (I guess we pushed as long as we possibly could since she still had a two hour drive ahead of her)… We always have the best of times.
I am now totally, completely, crazy hooked on Downton Abbey. And I’m quiet bummed that season 3 will not be in the US until January 2013. What’s up with that?!
Oh and our crafty project (it’s that crazy horrible picture up there with the yellows and blue) multiplied … You’ll have to catch the blog later this week for all the details, but let me tell you this project changed my life (and is keeping me that much saner)!
