It’s so amazing how little kinks in life can upset the flow of things and get you off track! So sorry, dear blog readers, to leave you randomly last week. Life threw in kinks (good kinks, but kinks) which shifted the norm forcing a new norm. I think we might have gotten back into the swing of things. Hopefully I can keep up with everything in this new, fun norm. Without further delay, here is this weeks Weekender…
*Went grocery shopping sans kids (mom kept them). It was weird. It was nice. My heart wasn’t in grocery shopping. I went without making a meal plan or list. I’m pretty sure that’s why.
*Went on an impromptu dinner date during A’s lunch break. Was blessed by a someone paying for our meal. Thank you so much!!
*Starting working on sleep pants for E and E’s best friend, T, for their birthdays (but of course I’m a terrible mom and can’t wait for her birthday so E is already wearing hers :/ )
*Spent most of Saturday on the couch wedged between two fussy kids who wouldn’t take naps.
*Got some reading done during said fussy couch time.
*In the one hour they did sleep, I got the house picked up, laundry in the wash, dinner on the stove, dishes done, bathtub scrubbed, and toilet cleaned (Praise Jesus for that hour!)
*Tried to stay awake during the OU game, but all I really wanted to do was cry — so many mistakes!
*Hung out all night with E on the couch as it was “Loud” (lightening and thundering) outside and she was scared.
*Painted my and E’s nails dark purple for fall.
*Lazy Sunday. Watched a great message on faith by this guy.
