I remember growing up, my dad would always have Live with Regis and Kathie Lee on before leaving for work. I loved that show (mainly because he loved it, but still . . .) After Kathie Lee left, we agreed it just wasn’t the same.
Well, now Kathie Lee is back—only not on television, and for your KIDS! Kathie Lee has recently released a 13-song album taking listeners on a journey through the story of David and Goliath! The Little Giant features the voice talents of Regis Philbin (the one and only), Aidan Gemme, and Gregg Edelman.
We loved this fun album. I loved that many of the songs had a broadway feel (we love the Newsies and Wicked soundtracks in our house), but every single song had a great message and pointed back to the David story and Kathie Lee’s message for this album. I love what she had to say about the overall message about the album: “We all had been taught that the miracle was that a young boy took down a giant. But in reality, in those days, any shepherd was experienced in killing big animals that threatened the flock. Just as the Lord had prepared David for that one moment, we realized that God has already given each of us a stone to use. That’s the real miracle. The question then becomes ‘What is our stone and how will we use it?’”
Perfect for fans of Veggie Tales or the classic Sandi Patti and the Friendship Company (old school I know, but such a great one)!
