I have a daughter who loves music. Normally that wouldn’t scare me so much, but, honestly, have you seen/heard some of the artists and their “songs” lately? It’s enough to scare a parent into never letting their kid out of the house, or listening to anything but Beethoven (which honestly isn’t that bad of an idea . . .) I don’t need my four-year-old singing about waiting on boys to call or slashing up a boy’s car because they broke your heart . . . Thankfully there are artists out there like Jamie Grace. Seriously a breath of fresh air and someone my four-year-old can listen to, and sing along with, without me worrying about what she’s really singing about.
Songs like “Ready to Fly” which talks about being ready to go wherever the Lord may lead and “The Waiting” which talks about waiting for that special someone (love this song)—not only do they have great lyrics, but they all have great beats/tempos that my daughter loves (ok I love them too).
This is the perfect album for just about anyone in your life—especially those younger loves in your life. This album gives them lyrics that let them know there is something more to this life than waiting on a boy to call or slashing up a boy’s car because they broke your heart (because that’s healthy . . .)
