June 2021 Writing Goals

June 2021 Writing Goals

Trying to keep it fairly simple this month! All the projects I have going on is anything but simple, however, I’m going to do my best not to try to do all the things. Two main goals I want to get accomplish this month— (1) Finish my submission for a contest (2) Finish the first draft of CK2 That’s it!… Read More

March Goals

March Goals

I’ve set some pretty lofty goals (especially since I’m traveling the whole second half of the month) We’ll see how much I can get done — and what I can’t … I’ll move to April!

Goals Update + February Goals

Goals Update + February Goals

January’s goals crushing was a little … bleak. While we were able to get more hours outside (goal 10, reality closer to 25), I only completed a Whole …15 and I didn’t get the traction on CK2 that I really wanted to. The point of goal setting isn’t to beat yourself up when you don’t complete anything on your list…. Read More

Goals for the New Year

Goals for the New Year

I’m really looking forward to the new year. So much changed during the last six months of 2020 that I’m really leaning into goal setting for the new year. I loved the idea from Elise Cripe using the project breakdown notepad to break my yearly goals into monthly bite-sized goals. Really feel like I can get somewhere with my goals… Read More

Check-in: Goals for 2019

We’re past our first quarter of the year, almost through the second quarter, and definitely time for an almost mid-way check-in with the goals. Visit the library 100 times. One thing that I’ve noticed this year is that I’m really starting to thinking about what I want the rest of the year to look like — and that meant… Read More

The Goals for 2019

The Goals for 2019

I seriously love setting goals—monthly, weekly, yearly. Totally love it. This year I really wanted to be mindful of the goals I was setting (ie: not reliant on other’s schedules in order to get completed … such as so much of the house planning stuff on last year’s list). There’s a lot of bookish and writerly things on my list this… Read More

2018 Goal Wrap Up

2018 Goal Wrap Up

You, Guys. How is it 2019? I felt so blindsided by the new year this year! Anyone else? Looking back on my 2018 goals (part 1, 2, and 1/2 way done), I have so much that I didn’t accomplish, but so much that I did. And I’m totally ok with that. Some of my goals last year I found out… Read More

I was up to my ears with rejections for my YA dyst I was up to my ears with rejections for my YA dystopian and ready to throw in the towel. My best friend suggested I try writing YA rom com (remember that @neysawalker ?) … which was laughable (since I liked killing characters not having the happily ever after.) But what she said stuck and I eventually started thinking about this girl named Murphy who watched her crush slip and fall at the airport leading to him being in coma, her being mistaken for his girlfriend, and then meeting his best friend and actually falling in love …

Get It Happened at Christmas wherever you purchase your books (or request from the library!!)
It Happened at Christmas is my nod to my favorite It Happened at Christmas is my nod to my favorite 90s rom com While You Were Sleeping — but making it YA!

What happens when your crush is in coma, and you get mistaken for his girlfriend, but then his best friend arrives on scene (with a swoon accent) and then you find yourself falling for him?

This one is a lot of fun! It’s available wherever you buy books (or you can request from your library!)
I signed a contract with @blinkyabooks to bring y’all a YA murder mystery!

I can’t share a whole lot yet, but here are some vibes for you to enjoy!!
