Hey, Awesome Nerds!
First of all, this was supposed to be a video. I had it all filmed uploaded to the computer and when I sat down to edit it, somehow it skipped and jumped and the sound was all discombobulated and it just didn’t work. So this is the blog post back up. I’m super excited to be participating in the 2015 BookTubAThon (click that link and you’ll learn all about this awesomeness) this year. Even though I’m probably not going to be able to get all 7 challenges completed, I’m going to do what I can.
Book you last acquired: Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong. I’m honestly not sure what this book is about. I believe Mary Weber was raving about it, so when I saw in the bargain bin at the bookstore, I grabbed it.
Finish a book without letting go of it: Ms. Marvel by G. Willow Wilson. This is a graphic novel—totally counts right? I feel like it’s cheating. Anyways. I believe this is a re-write or a “based off of” graphic novel because apparently there is an older Ms. Marvel — I don’t know, I’m just breaking into the world of graphic novels (thanks, Tarja!!) and I’m loving it. Anyways. This one looks like it’s going to be a fun read and with 3 kids it’ll be a challenge to finish the entire thing without letting go of it, but in the words of Barney. Challenge excepted!
Read a book you really want to read: Once Upon a Time Shadow of the Queen. Another graphic novel. This one is based in the world of the hit show Once Upon a Time (love that show!) I’ve really wanted to read this book since I picked it up a couple weeks ago and I just haven’t gotten around to it, so this challenge is perfect for it.
I’m also going to be hitting the ‘Read a book with blue on the cover’ challenge with all three of these books so four out of the seven challenges . . . not bad!
Crossing my fingers I’ll be able to get up one of the video challenges through the week, so be checking back for that!!
