A Story About Shoes

Last fall I was have a horrible day. Horrible week actually. I can’t remember why it was so horrible, only that I wasn’t having a good week. Andy, the wonderful husband that he is, sent me out for “me” time. And as always with “me” time, I end up at a local thrift store (don’t worry I head to the book store after that). This particular day, I found these wonderful moccasins—Minnetonka moccasins. I had been wanting a pair of these for a while, but just hadn’t bitten the bullet and bought them.

These shoes and me were a match made in heaven. I bought them then and there and have hardly put a black flip-flop on my feet since (which, black flip-flops were my go to shoe rain, shine, or snow since high school).

My entire week turned around because a pair of shoes. I was my regular ol’ happy self again, and my feet were extremely happy to be liberated from the flip-flop

Last week on Instagram, Minnetonka was giving a pair away. I was completely shocked when my sister texted me to tell me that we had won (it was a pair for you, pair for your friend sort of deal). So I was super excited to be able to add these beauties to my stash.

These will forever and always be my favorite shoes. They are so comfortable. And by golly, look how cute they are! I wear them with absolutely everything. Super excited to break my new ones in and wear them during all my adventures.
