I keep rediscovering podcasts. I’ll find some great ones for a while, and then life happens, or I get bored, or my library’s audio copy of whatever Harry Potter book I’m on happens to come available . . . and poor podcasts fall by the way side.
This past week. Oh this past week I have rediscovered podcasts. And apparently podcasts make me highly productive when it comes to housework (and getting my FitBit steps in . . .)
So here are 4 podcasts that are currently rocking my socks off (oh, wait. . .is that still cool to say?):
The Simple Show: First off I absolutely love the name of this show. Also, it’s not really that new. The Art of Simple podcast got a makeover and this is the result. You still have super fun interview with the raddest people around. And Tsh is still just as amazing.
Magic Lessons: I started reading Elizabeth Gilbert’s Big Magic last fall and ended up putting it down (life. . . need I say more). However, listening to the podcast makes me want to pick it back up! Elizabeth gives advice to all kinds of artist types in all walks of life. Great to listen to.
Create If Writing: Kiki is awesome. If you’re a writing looking to build your platform as a writer or creative, and also to just get some great writing inspiration, listen to this podcast. (warning you may be ready to write all the words after listening to this one. . . I know it inspires me to write!)
What Should I Read Next?: This one may be my favorite new find. Anne Bogel of Modern Mrs. Darcy had a book matching blog feature that was my absolute favorite. A reader would pick so many reads they loved and so many they hated, and Anne would match them with 3 new reads. Now she does it on a podcast and is amazingly fun (and the culprit of my requesting 9 books from the library just this week — and before you ask, no, I probably won’t get the chance to read them all before they are due).
Are there any podcast that are knocking your socks off? I’d love to add them to my list!
And if you’re interested, you can read 3 podcasts to beat the commute and 5 podcasts to beat dish washing duty.
