Holy Nom. This shake is AMAZING. I actually went by a recipe this time around although I did alter it just a little.
Green Morning Smoothie from Melissa d’Arabia
Ingredients
2 cups vanilla almond, coconut or soy milk
1/2 cup whole oats
1 1/4 cups fresh, frozen or canned peaches, or mango cubes
1 cup ice cubes
1 cup baby spinach, loosely packed
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 bananas
Directions
Place the milk and oats in a blender and blend for 15 seconds on high. Add the peaches, ice, spinach, honey, vanilla and bananas and blend until very smooth, 45 seconds. Serve in glasses.
My Alterations: I didn’t have any peaches so strawberries and pineapple went in instead (and thanks to my bestie moving half a world away from me — ok just to KY, but it might as well be half a world — I actually had frozen mango. Yay!) I (surprisingly) didn’t have any spinach but I did have a spring mix of sorts (that had spinach included) so I used that. In the future I’ll probably use more greens. I cut the recipe by half and still put a cup of greens, but I think it could use a little more. I also added a couple shakes of cinnamon. Yums stuff. Make this now. Your taste buds will thank you.

Ah Ah! Now I know a little bit more about you!
Lovely ‘meeting’ you in Blogland Christen and interesting drink! I will pass it on to my son who is sure to enjoy this (anything without chocolate hardly gets my attention! Oh dear, have I really admit to such??)
Thank you for always being there ready with a helping hand and God bless!
