I have a bad habit of reading numerous books at the same time. I didn’t always have this problem, but then I started college and, being an English major reading numerous books for different classes at the same time, I learned to read numerous books at one time. So without further ado. . .here’s the numerous books I’m reading this week.
Bleak House | Charles Dickens I am loving this book. I actually started reading this one last summer with my “kids”. Summer turned into Fall and we had only read 10-ish chapters. After bumping into one of my “kids” last week, we decided to jump in and finish it this summer before she goes off to college (COLLEGE! Elissa, don’t go . . . yes, do. You’ll have a blast. Go my little padawan. Fly). There are already lots of notes I’m scribbling, and I’m having so much fun. And because we’re the biggest nerds alive, we’re meeting once a month to discuss what we’ve read. It’s the Big Book Book Club.
Fever 1793 | Laurie Halse Anderson I’m reading this one with the kid that I’m tutoring. I have lots of fun planned for this one.
7 | Jen Hatmaker I am loving this book. I interlibrary loaned it and it’s already due without me having finished it. Seriously an amazing book. Non-Fiction sometimes is boring and stuffy—not Jen’s book. Jen writes the book as if you are sitting at her kitchen table, drinking coffee while she tells the tale of her experimental mutiny against excess.
