title: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
author: J.K. Rowling
genre: Middle Grade Fiction
thoughts: It seemed only fitting to drink tea while I read a book from England. There really is something magical about the way Rowling puts her words together. I think I’m more inthralled with her publication story than I am actually the Harry Potter stories. I remember the first time I read Harry Potter and the Sorerer’s Stone—my sophomore year of college for a class (this is why most English classes are awesome). I ended up reading it in one weekend in an ER waiting room . . . I remember I was with my mom, but neither of us were there for medical attention. I honestly can’t remember why we were there. Anyways. Fast forward eight years, I’m reading it again. I’m really enjoying reading it as a study. Studying her sentence structure and how she puts her words together.
