In an attempt to watch less Netflix, I’ve acquired a healthy addiction to podcasts. Generally while washing dishes (or any other stationary “house duty” type job), I binge watch something random on Netflix. I was getting a little frustrated with my choices — with little people running around it wasn’t like I could watch absolutely anything I wanted (and anything that had a talking animal or sings the alphabet song is out). And I can’t put Call the Midwife, Sherlock, or any other British television show on because I like watching these not simply putting them on to keep me from going mad while I stand there and was a dish for the thousandth time.
Here are my top five favorite podcasts (plus something a little extra):
Elise Gets Crafty. Everything this girl does is gold. Her blog is my “not-to-be-missed” that I read every morning before diving into work. In Elise Gets Crafty, Elise covers tips and tricks of running a small business and blog, and lots creativity-type stuff. I love it.
How They Blog. Anything blog related, I generally love listening to. Kat interviews lots of successful bloggers about their success. I’ve picked up a lot of little helpful tidbits. Love love love.
God Centered Mom. Encouragement for moms. Enough said.
Writing Excuses. Four writers sitting around chatting about writing in 20 minutes or less. Again. If it’s about the writing craft I love listening to anything and everything I can.
The Paperclipping Roundtable. A podcast about scrapbooking. This is crazy fun to listen to, and keeps me inspired to keep my albums up to date (I need all the help I can get! haha)
and now for the extra . . .
LibriVox. This is more like an audiobook than a podcast. Volunteers will read books, record them, and you listen to them. Genius.
