Are you really surprised that I’m taking a stack of books to the beach with me? These five are the five that I narrowed down to come with me in all their paperback glory (don’t ask me how many I currently have downloaded on my mini . . .)
. . . But this weekend it all changed. And if I’m completely honest, it’ll probably change again before Friday (which is when I give myself to have everything packed up ready to go . . . at least the “car” stuff).
So here’s the new list:
(1) Still bringing Wild Things. It’s been on my TBR pile for to long and with another boy on the way, I’m curious as to what James and Thomas have to say on the art of raising boys. . . (because it is an art right?)
(2) Still bringing Fallen. I’ve already started this one, and probably would have it finished too, if I hadn’t gone to the library and picked up my current read — a whopper of a book that I’m trying to finish before we leave.
(3) Catching Fire. The movie comes out this week and I decided I must get it read one more time before I go see if (and seeing as this week is stupid crazy packed, it looks like I’ll be seeing it in Panama City Beach).
(4) The Book Thief. Another book-to-movie book and the only reason it’s on my TBR pile. My husband said the movie looked weird per the trailer and honestly I haven’t really paid that much attention to the trailer to know either way. This one may get replaced by the end of the week.
(5) Either the Iron King or The Rivers Run Dry — both currently in the stack not sure which one I’ll take. Probably The Rivers Run Dry so as to mix it up a little bit and have something other than YA
(6) Dear Mr. Knightley. We’re currently touring this one with Litfuse and the reviews that have came in + the raving by one of my co-workers have me really wanting to read this one!
Any recommendations? What are some good reads that should go to the beach with me?
