Yes. Coloring books are a new craze, and Elsie and I have dove in whole-heartedly. It started with just a couple brought back from conference, and has developed into “we need just one more of those really cool coloring books.”
Elsie got a few for her birthday, but one of our (my) favorites that we have gotten is Daria Song’s The Time Garden.
One of my favorite things about The Time Garden is it’s not simply just a coloring book. Yes, the illustrations are beautiful (gorgeous), but there is also a story going on in the pages—and you get to add the color. There are few words to tell the story, relying mainly on the pictures to tell the story—of a girl who travels through the cuckoo-cuckoo clock to a world only in dreams (or is it?)
The Time Garden would make a wonderful addition to anyone’s coloring book collection (wait, you don’t have one? This would be a great book to start with!)
