I’m part of a group of awesome authors and bloggers on the street team for Gabriela Pereira’s upcoming book, DIY MFA. Gabriela’s podcast and website are both insanely inspiring and fun to browse through (if writing and creative interest you).
Gabriela and her team have done it again!
What’s Your Storytelling Superpower?
Every writer has a superpower, some aspect of their personality that helps them write their best story. Do you know yours? Take the quiz on DIY MFA to find out what your storytelling superpower is and what type of character you should be writing.
I got: PROTECTOR
Your superpower is writing superheroes! Your favorite characters see their world in danger and will do whatever it takes to protect it and those they love in it. These characters may not wear spandex and capes, but they show almost superhuman fortitude in their quest to prevent disaster, whatever the cost to themselves. From Scarlett O’Hara to James Bond to Iron Man, you’re drawn to characters who stand up to the forces of evil and protect what they believe in.
This totally makes sense. Mallory, a protagonist in All the Lies You Cannot Know, is so much of a super hero. I also love writing strong characters that are always standing up for the weaker characters (and what they believe is right).
This quiz was super fun! What is your writing superpower? I’d love it if you took the quiz and shared!
