So maybe one of these days I’ll be cool like Regan and do a YouTube video with all this fun information, but today is not that day.
Starting at the bottom and working our way up . . .
Fancy Nancy — We love these books around here and funnily enough we didn’t have the very first Fancy Nancy book. I found this one at a thrift store for 25 cent — 25 CENTS! Never underestimate the power of your local thrift stores people.
My Book House — another quarter find. This time at a garage sale. Honestly I picked this one up because it was pretty. And old. Best combos with books.
The Rivers Run Dry, The Spindlers and Birthmarked all came from bookoutlet.com. Seriously if you haven’t been to that site do so now. I think each of these books were around $2.99.
The Iron King and Looking for Alaska I bought cold turkey at Hastings (ok so I had credit at Hastings). I haven’t heard anything about The Iron King, but it’s a series and I started reading it in the store and it pulled me in, so I bought it. Looking for Alaska was recommended to me by Andy’s friend. He’s never recommended a bad book so . . . (I still don’t know what it’s about, but it’s by John Green so it has that going for it).
Belladonna was sent to be by the publisher — HaperTeen. Seriously this one just showed up on my front porch. I’m not even sure where my address came from, but they sent me a book so I don’t even care. (and disclaimer I may have gotten this one in July or August, but I can’t remember so it’s making the September haul).
Jane Eyre — another garage sale buy. Another quarter. This one is for a friend who is doing something amazing with books for her going to be way cool wedding.
