I first heard Hannah Brencher’s TedTalk on love letters to strangers and I was complete enamored. I’ve always thought the perfect way to brighten someone’s day is by a hand-written note. Even more so if it’s a treasure from a stranger that is randomly found. Her website is amazing. I love it—everything about this movement. The world needs more handwritten love letters. The world needs more love.
The World Needs More Love Letters is a great first step into writing love letters to strangers. It’s page after page of self-mailer stationary just waiting for you to rip out and write a love letter. But it doesn’t stop there. Included are 40 prompts to help you get started—which is great if you love the idea, but have no where to start. One place I’m excited about sharing love letters is in random books I check out from the library. How fun would it be to open the book you’ve been dying to read and find a note from the person who read it before. I’m also playing around with some ideas on dropping some off at a coffee shop . . .
I’m all excited about writing some love letters! Now . . . who needs one?
Want to join me in writing love letters? You can pick up a copy of the book here.
(And I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on Hannah’s memoir that came out earlier this year!!)
