After being sentenced to the banned list, half of the Asian Federation believes Lee Urban is a ticking time bomb that could end the world as they know it. They’re willing to do anything to erase her existence and silence her voice before she can take a stand.

There’s only one way to fight back: enroll in the Race to the Clouds. Winning the competition would garner global media attention and give Urban the coverage she needs to dismantle the enhancement programs. Unfortunately, it also happens to be the deadliest event of the year.

With less time to train than her rivals, Urban and her team must find a way to best the competition. But as enemies close in, riots erupt, and her homeland teeters on the brink of civil war, one thing is certain—she’s running out of time. Not just for herself, but for every Natural she represents.

A good spy story is my kryptonite. The Intern and I (and Boone Cat) have been loving the City Spies series by @jamespontibooks .

Not only is City Spies one of our favorites (yes, we’re missing the 3rd book — I’ll get it eventually), but the sixth book, London Calling, releases today!

If you haven’t started this series (whether you’re 11 or 39, this series is just fun) it comes highly recommended from me and The Intern!

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have to go make a cup of tea to drink while we dive into London with our favorite kid spies!

We finally made it, guys! It's the end of January.

We finally made it, guys! It's the end of January. I got five books read this month, which is a little surprising since there were 957 days this month. But I was also under deadline for the majority of the month (was it only last week that I turned in my draft?!)

Here are the five that I read! Did you read anything worth noting this month? I'd love to hear about it!

Surprise!! It Happened at Christmas got a makeover!

New cover, fun new chapter headings (thanks as always to the brilliant @eahcreative) — but the story is exactly the same… mostly. There were a few details that have changed (for example, there is now a contraband raccoon 🦝 !!!)

If you previously purchased an ebook, these changes should download automatically for you!

And yes - there’s a “1” on the spine, as in the start of a series. When I first wrote it, I wrote it as a stand-alone… but then I read it again and other characters asked if they could have a story too — who am I to say no. 🤷🏼‍♀️
