Ah meal planning. What fun (sometimes). Recently I have found that we are saving a ton of money if I meal plan before going grocery shopping (aka since we know what we’re having for lunch/dinner we end up not eating out).
It’s also nice to grocery shop with a plan instead of just a list. Yes, I still shop with a list, but I know that it’s actually going for something. I know that it’s not just going to sit idle in my fridge/pantry until it reaches it’s expiration date (or starts growing green stuff). Also, we’re eating tons healthier because of meal planning (well, probably because we’re not eating out so much).
Since we get paid bi-monthly, when I meal plan/grocery shop, I do so for two weeks (yes, this can be and kinda is daunting).
Here are some of the things that have made it on to the “plan” lately:
*Pancakes
*Muffins
*Soups (tons: Potato, Lasagna, Dump)
*Chicken and rice
*Mac and Cheese & Tuna
*Tuna Salad
*Salad
What are some of your favorite meals? I need some more ideas/inspiration (and need to stay away from Pinterest since all of that food is ooey gooey good).
