I finally have more than two books read in a month. HA! May was a little better, but June I think I finally get back on track.
What I read in May:
Wolf by Wolf | Ryan Graudin: I seriously want to gush over this book. It’s an alternative history story (which I’m really loving) Germany has won WWII and every year they host a cross country motor bike ride. Our main character is on a mission to win the race, get a audience with Hitler, and assassinate him. There wasn’t an over abundance of romance, but big potential for some. Book two is coming out this fall and the wait is killing me!
Siren’s Song | Mary Weber: You can read my full review on this one here, but in short, great ending to a great series. I’m looking for more from Mary.
The Choice | Nicholas Sparks: I’m not generally a huge Sparks fan, but I watched the movie which peeked my interest in the book. I can read Sparks quickly, so had this one read in only a couple of days. Typical Sparks story. Entertaining but not world shattering. Let’s be honest, I was going for the cry-factor (because not a tear was shed during the movie and my friend is beginning to believe I’m a robot) This one still didn’t do it for me. What books have you read that completely shattered you? I’m looking for good recs!
Currently Reading: Most of my reads this month are carried over from months before (after all, June is for finishing all the books I started and have yet to finish . . .) New ones to the stack are Girl Against the Universe, Front Lines, and The Goodbye Bride (which if you want the chance to win a copy of this book, be sure to stop by Denise Hunter’s Facebook chat tomorrow night!)
What are you reading?
