December was a busy one. I still managed to get two books read, but we were traveling more than normal and with Elsie out of school for half the month, we were in search of fun things to do.
The Darkest Minds | Alexandra Bracken: I really shied away from this book for so long because I thought is was going to be really dark and “witchy” (which unless it’s Harry Potter, I’m really not in to). However, I think this maybe ended up being my favorite read of December. I really enjoyed Bracken’s writing as well. Hopefully I’ll be able to jump into book two later this month.
Of Triton | Anna Banks: This is such a fun series. This one was my audiobook of the month, and I really enjoyed the narrator. I need to find book three to read now!
I’m currently reading Five Days in Skye by Carla Laureano—which was recommended to me by another writer (Thanks, Laurie) and I’m audiobook-ing Birthmarked — a good story, but the audiobook is strange. Hoping I can finish!
