Buddy Reads is a fun feature where me and bookish friends read the same book, rave (or rant) about it via text message, and then write a quick review so you can decide if you’d like to read it or not.
For this buddy read, I was joined by Emilie from CreateExploreRead and Kara from So_Chaotic.
Christen says: I loved this book. I’ve been reading a lot of series lately, and the fact that this was a stand alone was a bit of a breath of fresh air (although if she did write more adventures for the crew of Invictus, I’m totally game). Ryan Graudin is one of my favorites, and the fact that there were many nods to Doctor Who just made me love it even more. I loved the time-travel (and all that entailed). An easy 5 stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Emilie says: I’m definitely giving this book 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I LOVED the nods to Doctor Who and Firefly as well as the time-travel aspect. It’s a definite recommend from me! (visit Emilie on Instagram HERE and you can read her full review on Invictus HERE)
Kara says: To be honest I had hoped I would immerse into it more and just eat it up! I think it was just bad timing for me. I loved all the space and time exploring! And the poetry of feelings and emotions. Great crew 🙌🏼 I love stand alone sometime you know? Easily recommend! I would like to re read it in a calmer season of life. 4 ⭐️ (visit Kara on Instagram HERE)
