School started last month and it was just crazy, so I only got two books actually completed. But I have a lofty goal for September, let’s see if I can plow through!
Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? | Mindy Kaling: I needed a funny book to read, and this one did it. It was more a collection of essay than a biography, but I think that just made me love it all the more.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children | Ransom Riggs: I really wanted to get this one read before the movie came out (and besides, all my writer and oily buds were buzzing about it). At the end—I enjoyed it. Fun story. Fun concept, and I loved the addition of quirky photos sprinkled throughout.
Currently Reading: A Time to Speak by Nadine Brandes, and I have The Wrath and the Dawn on audiobook.
What are you reading?

I loved Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me! Such funny wisdom in it, and it’s also great on audiobook, if you ever need a reread. And have you read All the Light We Cannot See? I read it for a book club a few months ago and it was so interesting. It really is such a unique take on WWII.
I shared my recent reads here: https://calmlybykimmie.blogspot.com/2016/09/recently-read-september.html

Does Mindy do the audiobook? I bet it’s great!
I got All the Light from the library and then never got the chance to read it. I really can’t wait to be able to read it. I’ve heard great things on that one!
