Honestly. I have a terrible time choosing my favorite books. So I’m not sure we can call these my favorite non-fiction books of all time—just for the moment. Since one of my goals this year is to read more non-fiction, I thought I’d share some of my favorites right now.
5 Favorite Non-Fiction Books
Girl, Stop Apologizing | Rachel Hollis
You either love Rachel or you don’t. I’m in the love category. I love books (and podcasts for that matter) on goal making and working hard toward your goals, so it’s no surprise that this one made the list. One of my favorite parts of the books is when she explains how she gets stuff done and goals crushed (another one of my favorites — learning what works for others). Also, Girl, Wash Your Face should be on the short list too. I can’t help it. I really enjoy Rachel’s voice.
Crazy Love | Francis Chan
Francis Chan is one of my favorites. I loved Crazy Love when it first came out and I’m pretty sure I’ve gone through four copies (because mine keeps disappearing). Just picking this book up off my shelf is making me want to read it again. If you are searching for more, you should definitely give this book a try.
The Story of With | Allen Arnold
Another one of my favorite type of non-fiction books? (Writing) Craft books. I remember sitting in a breakout session with Allen and him talking about when we write, we create with the Creator. I can’t remember a whole lot about the rest of the session, but this always stuck with me. In The Story of With, Allen dives deeper into that thought — and it’s amazing.
On Writing | Stephen King
While I’m not a huge Stephen King fan, I loved On Writing. His Cinderella story, writing advice, it’s all gold. I love reaching for this one when I’m just needing some kind of writing pick me up.
What about you? What are your favorite non-fiction books?
