Up until college, I was only able to read one book at a time. But then multiple literature classes all in the same semester forced me out of my comfortable one-book-at-a-time bubble, and now I’ll rarely be at a time when I’m only reading one book. This week, it’s five — and all five are vastly different (which I think is my secret to being able to keep everything straight).
Story Trumps Structure | Steven James
I have been reading this book for forever (no, really. It’s been like six months since I started). Not because it isn’t good — it’s awesome. It just takes me a little bit longer to process non-fiction, especially those that I really want to soak in. I’m determined to finish this one this month though so we’ll see (that gives me what? Three days? Ha!)
Reset Your Child’s Brain | Victoria L. Dunckley, MD
I’ve only just dived into this book (and have already had to renew it once) Pretty good so far. I’m mainly just looking for ideas/advice on way limiting any kind of screen time with my kids. I’m liking it so far!
The Incorrigible Children of Aston Place: The Mysterious Howling | Maryrose Wood
I’m reading this one to the kids, and we’re loving it. It’s basically about three children who were raised by wolves. O is especially loving all the howling.
Unbreakable | Sara Ella
This one is written by my girl, and by default, I’m going to gush about it (but lucky for you it’s an amazing book in an amazing series and you should treat yourself!) I really am loving this last book. It has a little time travel (which is my favorite), a little heartbreak, and a whole lot of love (sigh). Just get it. Read it. It’s the perfect summer read.
Stand Your Ground | Victoria Christopher Murray
This one I grabbed on a recommendation from Katie Ganshert. It’s so very heartbreaking, and I’m finding that I can only read it in little spurts.
What about you? What are you currently reading? Are you a one-at-a-time or multiple books at a time reader?
