What is the title of your book?
Returning Home, Book 1 in the Freedom Lake series
What was the inspiration behind your book?
I wanted to know what would happen if the hero lost his leg in a car accident and how would the heroine treat him.
Which character was your favorite to write, and why?
Michelle, a secondary was my favorite. She’s sassy and I’m not so she made me laugh a lot.
What are 3 things you can’t live without?
Books, books, and sleep. I think I just saw this question on Facebook not to long ago and that was my exact answer.
😊
What are 3 things you’d have to have when marooned on an island?
My kindle because it has my Bible and all my books on it. Oh, wifi. And my family.
Who is your all-time favorite character from a book?
Elizabeth Bennet from Pride & Prejudice. I adore that book and everything about the heroine.
What is currently on your nightstand?
SD Grimm’s Summoner and Jodie Bailey’s Christmas Double Cross
What book are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading Hope for the Holidays by Cathe Watson in the Making Spirits Bright boxset.
😊 And I might have a novella in that collection as well.
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
Nothing, lol. I can’t remember the last thing I watched on it. Maybe Sing.
Favorite Starbucks drink?
Nonfat green tea latte hot.
What does a typical day of writing look like for you?
I spend a couple of hours doing admin work like checking emails, sharing a blogpost, writing a blog post, etc. Then if I don’t have anything else to do, I’ll jump into writing work. Currently I’m working on critiques for book two in the Freedom Lake series so I’m not doing any writing right now. If I was, I’d write for about 50 minutes, take a 10 minute social media break and then jump back into writing until it’s time to get my kiddos from the bus stop.
Favorite quote?
Dr. Seuss: “Be who you are and say what you feel because people who mind don’t matter, and people who matter don’t mind.”
Current 4 favorite things
The Voice (I watch it with my son and we have a competition going)
Kindle Fire (all the books)
Kleenex with lotion (I have a cold)
Sleep (always)
