The October book report. Everything I’ve read or listened to in the month of October, and a quick (really quick) review.
Meet Me in the Margins | Melissa Ferguson — read for this month’s book club. Cute.
Tuesdays at the Castle | Jessica Day George — read for the 5th grader’s literature. Magical, fun, classic.
The Life Impossible | Matt Haig — (audiobook) I’m not really sure what this book was about. I think I enjoyed it. Maybe.
The Girl Who Kept the Castle | Ryan Graudin — another magical read. Loved this one.
A Book a Week | Kate Hall — nothing earth-shattering, but I love seeing other authors’ processes. Super quick read (maybe an hour?)
Happy Place | Emily Henry — not my favorite Emily Henry. Second half better than first. Still enjoyable.
Runaway Bride and Prejudice | Emma St. Clair — crack. Anything by Emma St. Clair is crack and so so good.
Bride | Ali Hazelwood — read for research. It was spicy. A bit too much for my liking, so there were a lot of skipped parts. I did like the twist at the end.
To Con a Gentleman | Sarah Adams — cute.
Fighting Forward | Hannah Brencher — I’d give this one five million stars if I could. Everyone should read this book.
What did you read in October? Anything I need to put on my list?
We’re coming to the end months of 2024 and I have some catching up to do on my author’s to read goal for this year! I’m expecting the next two months to be heavy with these authors.
