I’ve been traveling a lot this month (so far I’ve been home for like nine days). These are a few things that I pack with me to make sure that I don’t forget anything (although somehow I still forget a couple of things or my monthly word count slips).
📓 Notebook: This is just a random notebook in a random size, which I’ve decided is my favorite (it’s like midsize. This one is a random brand from TJ Maxx, but Five Star also makes the perfect midsize). I keep this one close so I’m able to write scenes or snippets of scenes when I get a chance. I’ve found that even if I don’t have a set amount to get words in, the few that I do get written down during pockets of time really add up.
📓 Moleskine Notebook: Yes, I carry two notebooks. A co-worker saw all my notebooks and called them my emotional support notebooks and I couldn’t agree more. My Moleskine is my brain. This is my goal tracker, habit tracker, the place I add random thoughts or take notes. I generally prefer black Moleskines, but found this one bright yellow one for $6 at TJ Maxx, and at that price, I didn’t care what color it was. Love me some Moleskine.
📓 Get to Workbook: This is my day-to-day, month-to-month planner. It has my to-do lists, important dates, and typical planner stuff. Also a ‘notebook’ that keeps me (mostly) organized. (and I would link it here, but the shop that sells this closed down . . . yes, I’m heartbroken. Yes, I’m trying to figure what what planner to use next.)
☕️ Coffee: And coffee. Because. Duh.
What about you? Do you have any hacks or tips for staying on track (or at least semi-organized) while traveling?
