A Holiday Meme from @triciagoyer – win big!

On of the wonderful author’s I have the privilege of working with, Tricia Goyer,  latest book, Remembering You, is a story about a girl and her grandpa (and well, there’s much more to the story, but for the purpose of the MEME, we’ll leave it at that!) and this Christmas Tricia’s giving a shout-out to our elderly relatives by hosting a contest where we get to share about our grandmas, papas, aunts, uncles, etc…!

Here’s how it will work…post and answer the below questions on your blog or Facebook. Then either tag specific people or tag your readers/friends (so they will answer share and answer the questions too). Then hop over to her blog to fill out the linky. Easy.

Tricia will be choosing 10 winners to receive a 4 book Tricia Goyer prize pack***!

Here are the MEME questions!

1. What’s your favorite holiday song?
Current Jingle Bell as that is the one my two year old sings all day. I just can’t get enough of her “Bingle Bells”

2. What’s your favorite holiday tradition?
Christmas Eve with the Clan of Family from my mom’s side, decorating the Christmas tree and the Christmas party with my immediate family (that party is tonight… so excited!)

3. If you could travel one place with an elderly family member where would you go?
Germany with my Grandpa

4. What questions would you ask?
Best memories, Names of Family Members (I’m putting together family trees), Where his favorite places are in Germany…

5. What is a non-tangible gift have you received from an elderly relative?
So many memories of helping Grandma get ready for the big Christmas Eve celebration, Thursday shopping days,

6. What is the best/worst/strangest gift you’ve received from an elderly relative?
Boys underpants … I’m sure with 18 (at the time) grandkids my package just got mixed up with everything else… haha

****On December 22nd ten people who have filled out the linky at Tricia’s blog will be selected at random to win one of the ten 4-book prize packs. You can either have it sent to yourself or a friend. To enter all you have to do is answer the MEME on your blog and then fill out the linky on this post. Easy.

Then be sure to pop over and read the other MEMEs on the linky – let’s celebrate our elderly loved ones!

I couldn’t let this day end without a huge shout I couldn’t let this day end without a huge shoutout to my partner in crime @createexploreread. You make life better. So glad we randomly met (online and then in person) and then decided to hang out in a cabin for a weekend even though we were basically strangers 😂 Wouldn’t trade you for anything. Happy birthday, friend. This year is gonna be amazing (also, we’re finally the same age for exactly two months 😂😂) (and yes, this birthday song is soooooo cheesy)
I grew these. (And yes, I’m wearing Minecraft cr I grew these. (And yes, I’m wearing Minecraft crocks — they were what was available by the door when I was walking out.)

In 2024, I made a list of authors whose back list In 2024, I made a list of authors whose back list I wanted to read. I didn’t quite get through the entire list, but I enjoyed it so much I decided to do it in 2025 too.

I “met” Caroline George when she came on the podcast back in 2021. I absolutely love anything and everything written by Caroline, and while I’ve read only a couple of her books, I was excited to add her to the list for 2025 to read all her back list (I don’t know but Curses might still be my favorite … but there’s also Josephine and Summer We Forgot and … ok fine they are all my favorite. Is that legal?)

If you haven’t picked up a Caroline George book, this is the sign you’ve been looking for. Do it. You won’t regret it.

Someone asked this the other day over on Threads and it got me thinking… what is my comfort show?

Doctor Who def falls under the comfort show for me. Sadly I don’t actually own any of the seasons - but we have an amazing library. I needed a little comfort watch today.

Do you watch Doctor Who? Which Doctor is your favorite? Which Villian?

I love 10 + 11. And the Weeping Angels and the Silence are my favorite.

What is your favorite comfort show?
