One of my goals for this year (more on the rest of my goals for this year later) is to do two rounds of Whole 30. I’m thinking, why not start off with a bang? First round starts today. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wasn’t a little bit scared.
I know. It’s a little silly. I know that I can do this. I know that is isn’t difficult, but what I’m scared of is not following through. Of cheating (again, silly things to be scared of, it’s all within my power not to fail, not to cheat).
So. I have some fail safes.
I have an accountability group. I have two of my good friends on a text group. They have their fitness and nutrition goals, I have mine, but we are committing to texting each other everything we eat (probably over-kill, but we’ll see if it works) and whenever we work out (which isn’t nearly enough for me . . .changing that). We’re also going to send each other motivational quotes, and have promised that when the going gets rough, we’re totally going to complain to each other.
I’ll be posting on social media—not on Instastories or Facebook (let’s not get too crazy) but Snapchat—mainly because I have like 4 followers. There will be lots of insane filters and funny antidotes and blah blah blahs on what I’m eating and how I’m going to make my Whole 30 experience successful (and if you wanted to follow along, you are more than welcome to follow me on Snapchat — and you have every right to bug me if I don’t post!) I will have the occasional post or story on Instagram (cause it is my favorite), but for the majority of this project, I’ll be updating on SnapChat.
